This study examines the content and structure of children's play narratives. Girls told more coherent narratives with less aggression than boys. Agressive themes correlated with behavior problems in girls, but not in boys. Children who told repeated aggressive/incoherent narratives had more behavioral problems than those who did not show this pattern.
