The Longitudinal Twin Study of Reading Disability (RDF - Reading Disabilities Follow-up) is unique because it is the first longitudinal study of reading disability using genetically informative data.

Our purpose is to learn more about the causes of stability and change in reading disability, as well as about some of the consequences. Twins who participated in the Colorado Learning Disabilities Research Center (CLDRC) approximately five years ago are being contacted for this follow-up research study. Assessment includes tests of:

    • reading performance
    • reading comprehension
    • spelling
    • reading component processes
    • general and specific cognitive abilities
    • psychological functioning
