Identify (polymorphic) loci/genes in mice that confer differential ethanol
preference, ethanol sensitivity and anesthetic sensitivity. + New: Identification
of Gerontogenes in the Mouse
- "Quantitative Trait loci (QTL) Mapping of Genes Associated with
Ethanol Choice" : This project is to map genes that are associated
with choice versus avoidance for ethanol consumption.
- "Mapping of Genes Predisposing to Alcohol Sensitivity" :
This project is to map genes that are associated with differential sensitivity
to alcohol (length of alcohol induced sleep time) using QTL mapping.
- "QTLs Underlying Molecular Action of General Anesthesia"
: This project aims to identify genetic differences that underlie QTL
that have been associated with general anesthetic sensitivity
in mice, focusing on a 250 Kb region containing a major gene involved
in the action of propofol.

Database: SDP from LSxSS RI strains
Strain distribution patterns (SDPs) of 118 SSLP markers and three pigmentation
genes that have been characterized in 27 strains from the LSXSS RI series.
This coarse map provides a resource for linkage studies of phenotypes
that are heritable in the LSXSS recombinant inbred (RI) series.
Database: Recombinant Inbred
(RI) Strain Distribution Pattern
Strain distribution pattern (SDP) of 330 SSLP markers has been characterized
in 77 LXS RI strains. This map provides a resource for linkage studies
of phenotypes that are heritable in the LXS recombinant inbred (RI)
strains.
