Research Interests
Genetic factors underlying sensitivity to anesthetic agents, as well as alcohol and other drugs of abuse. Behavioral indices, such as sedative-hypnotic effects, analgesia, ataxia, and locomotor activity are used as measures of sensitivity in genetic mouse models. Quantitative trait locus (QTL) analysis in recombinant inbred strains to map and identify potential genetic factors responsible for complex behavioral traits.
OTHER INTERESTS: FOOD (and lots of it!!), running, hiking, mountains, oceans, and literature.
