The versions of the software provided on this CD is the most recent available in March, 2003. If it is much past that date it would be advisable to check the software's website for updates. If you have problems with the software on this CD, please check the software's web page for updated versions.

Mx from Mike Neale http://views.vcu.edu/mx/.
On this CD Mx is stored in the Software\Mx\ directory. The Windows version can be installed by running Software\Mx\MxGUI\Windows\SETUP.EXE. Binaries for various Unix and Unix-like systems are in Mx/Unix-standalone.
Shaun Purcell's web based utilities.
The web based programs that Shaun Purcell demonstrated are available on his website at http://statgen.iop.kcl.ac.uk/.
Gonçalo Abecasis' Software. The most recent versions of this software can be downloaded from http://www.sph.umich.edu/csg/abecasis/. This software includes, Merlin, QTDT, GOLD, and GRR. The current versions, as of March 2003, are included on this CD.
- Merlin is in Software\merlin\OS where OS is either Windows, Linux, or SunOS. For all operating systems, the executables are run from the command line.
- QTDT is in Software\qtdt\OS where OS is either Windows, Linux, or SunOS. For all operating systems, the executables are run from the command line.
- GOLD is in Software\gold\OS where OS is either Windows, Linux, SunOS, or OSF1 (HP Tru64). Under Windows, run Software\gold\Windows\gold-setup\SETUP.EXE to install the GOLD graphics interface. Under other operating systems, the executables are run from the command line.
- GRR is in Software\grr. Run Software\grr\grr.exe to install GRR.
