Software from the Introductory Course

The versions of the software provided here is the most recent available in March, 2008. If it is much past that date, it is advisable to check the software's website for updates. If you have problems with the software on this CD, please check the software's web page for updated versions.

• Mx from Mike Neale http://views.vcu.edu/mx/.

  On this CD Mx is stored in the Software\Mx\ directory. The Windows version can be installed by running Software\Mx\MxGUI\Windows\SETUP.EXE. Binaries for various Unix and Unix-like systems, including Mac OS X are in available on the Mx website.

• R from The R Project for Statistical Computing http://www.r-project.org/

  On this CD R is stored in the Software\R\ directory. The Windows version can be installed by running Software\R\R-2.6.2-win32.exe. The Mac OS X version can be installed by opening the disk image Software/R/R-2.6.2.dmg and double clicking "R.mpkg". After that, open the disk image Software/R/R-GUI-4944-2.6-Deployment.dmg and copy the R icon to your applications folder

Software from the Advanced Course

  PLINK is available in the Software\PLINK\ directory.

  gPLINK is available in the Software\gPLINK\ directory. gPLINK requires a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to run. One is available from http://www.java.com/.
