1) Run the program ~carey/p7291dir/pathreg1.sas, print the output, and bring it to class next time (9/21). Make certain to read all the comments.

2) Copy the program ~carey/p7291dir/nmt3.sas onto your directory, if you have not already done so. NOTE WELL: Make certain to use nmt3.sas and NOT nmt2.sas. These are actual data gathered from the National Merit Test Twin Study. Examine the file nmt3.sas to find out what the variables are.

3) Have a start at performing a path analysis on the Nationa Merit data. At present, try to do this by reading the information on the handout on path analysis and regression. Next time we will go over path analysis in lecture. For the path analysis, use VERBAL and QUANT as the dependent variables and the variables MOED, FAED, and FINC as the independent variables.
