Post-doctoral trainee using cell culture techniques to assess the impact on gene expression of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptor genes for subunits a3 and b4. These SNPs have been shown by our lab to be involved in early initiation of alcohol and tobacco use. Also Investigating potential transcriptional factor interactions with SNPs.
