The Molecular Core has been in place since the inception of the CADD. It collects and stores all of the DNA samples from blood and saliva and carries out the genotyping on all subjects. In addition it is involved in the development of custom genotyping arrays and collaboration with Affymettrix Corp and Applied Biosystems to establish novel genotyping techniques.
